Problems with these batteries October 25, 2009

Ok, I admit that I didn't buy these batteries through Amazon but from ebatteries. I bought two and after the first charge using the Leica M8 charger everything was fine, but on the second charge both batteries showed only half a charge on the charge indicator on the M8. Subsequent charges just reduced the battery life sharply until they were all but useless, two or three charges is all it took. The batteries were replaced when I complained, but the replacements followed the same pattern, so I have just given up on them and had to bite the bullet and paid nearly three times the price for genuine Leica batteries. If anyone's had better luck, I'd love to know as I still have four of these batteries that I cannot use.

These batteries are terrible and do not hold a full charge on my Leica M8 or M9. They are 1/2 the cost what a Leica battery is but do not even hold 1/2 of the power. You get what you pay for. garbage.
